Reserve IP Addresses

There are two ways to reserve an IP Address, one which is when the device is dectected in the network, and one when it isn't.

For when it is detected already, log into the Omada Dashboard and open the Network you wish to work on. Click on Clients to begin working.

Locate the specific device you'd like to manage. If you are unsure, you may search by name, IP address, or mac address.

We will be using the Polycom phones as an example. Once you have the device, click on config.

From there, check the fixed IP address used. You can select any IP you'd like as long as it is available, or use the pre-selected one. Click apply to save the changes.

Additional Information:

If working with a wireless device, such as a credit card terminal on Wi-FI, you can also use the lock to AP function. This will lock the Wi-Fi signal to an AP of your choosing, reducing the chances of issues if the AP was to switch.

If the device is not listed, you can reserve it via the MAC Address too. To do this, click on the settings button in the left hand lower corner. Then, click on services.

DHCP Reservation should be automatically selected. Click on the Plus at the bottom

If you have multiple networks, be sure to select the one that the device is connected too. Input the mac address and the desired IP address. Feel free to set a description that will help identify it in the future. Click apply and everything should be setup.
